Cross Country Travel Series: Arizona and Utah
Destinations: Arizona and Utah Hey friends! Soo at this point in the Cross Country Travel Series, we have left New Mexico and are now en route to Arizona to see the Grand Canyon! The part of the Grand Canyon that is in Arizona which we visited is the South Rim. It was extremely warm in Arizona and I have never been more thankful for air conditioning than I was during this trip across the country. Hahaaa. Anyway we drove to the Grand Canyon from Albuquerque and walked around and took so many pictures! On our way out, we even saw an animal (some kind of moose?) very very close to…

The Power of a Thank You Note
Hey friends! Today I wanted to share how I’ve been randomly thinking about writing more Thank You Notes. I always hesitate to write Thank You Notes but honestly they’re one of my favorite kinds of handwritten letters. Recently, this past semester, one of my professors had us write Thank You cards to someone in our lives who has impacted our transition as transfer students. She reminded us that someone didn’t necessarily need to give us a physical gift to write them a note. I honestly struggled to think of someone to write the note to since I can’t remember the last time I wrote a Thank You Note to someone…

Cross Country Travel Series: New Mexico
Destination: Albuquerque, New Mexico Our second real stop on the trip was in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We have family in New Mexico (Hey Dawn and Tal!) so we wanted to stop and see them since we have never visited before. The view driving into Albuquerque was phenomenal. The mountains were absolutely gorgeous and driving in at sunset meant that the sun was reflecting off of them. I took so many pictures just from driving in the car. It wasn’t extremely hot when we visited either which was nice since us Upstate New Yorkers aren’t too used to over 100 degree temperatures. While we were in Albuquerque the first night, we…

How I Journal
Hey Friends! Today I’m going to share a little bit about my journaling history. I always wrote in my journal but pretty infrequent. Over this past summer, I decided that I would keep up with it and make myself write in it everyday for a month. It wasn’t as hard as I thought but also not the easiest thing to do. I tend to write at night right before I go to bed. At first, it was pretty easy but as time went on I found it harder to find things to write about. Pinterest came to my rescue. I searched journaling prompts and found so many different prompts and…

Outfit of the Day 1.14.2017 and Weekend Update!
Hey friends!! Today I am going to share with you what I wore yesterday. So quick update, I was out and about from 11am to 10pm last night and I wore this the entire time! I went from church to running errands to a movie date with my boyfriend later at night. We saw Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and it was so amazing. It went way past our expectations of what we thought that the movie was going to be. Sometimes I even fall asleep at the movie theater…but I was wide awake the entire time! I wore this pink sweater (similar), a navy blue vest with my monogram necklace,…

I am definitely going to buy it in a different color. It is super comfortable (and soft!) and can be layered with a scarf or jacket or worn alone. Weekend Update..(Surprise!)
Hey friends! This past weekend I threw a surprise party for my younger sister. She just turned 18 on Sunday. I have never thrown a surprise party for anyone before so it was definitely an exciting time. I was also never too into party planning but it was awesome! I want to throw parties for everyone I know, now. She had no idea that anything was different and then she walked downstairs to find all of her friends and her family in the kitchen. Decorating was one of my favorite parts, I chose a purple and black theme. I got purple wrapping paper to put on the wall as a…
