5 Steps to a Healthier, Happier YOU

I recently decided that I am going to make health and fitness a bigger part of my life.  I didn’t wake up and automatically have the drive to do it. It’s been a process! I’m going to share my steps that I have come up with to become a healthier, more active person.

Join an accountability group

For me, I decided that I needed to have an online fitness coach and be apart of an online group that would keep me accountable.  It seriously works wonders! The girls in my group are constantly posting things that they’re accomplishing throughout their day and you feel the motivation to do the same.  Finding people to keep you accountable for your workouts and eating makes all the difference.

Just do it.

Nike was right about this one!   Is it a really busy day and you don’t have a lot of time? Commit to those 20 minutes that you do have.  Those 20 minutes can be the determining factor for your mood for the rest of the day. Make the most of your time and just get moving!

Keep Reminders

If your goal is to lose a certain amount of weight, write it down.  Remind yourself (in a positive way!!) of the goals that you have to accomplish and keep yourself on track when they are always right in front of you.

Meal Prep

It’s easier to eat better when you have all of your meals ready and planned out.  Pick one day during the week when you know you’re going to be able to make it to the store and shop for all the healthy foods.  I typically like to prep two different lunches and then have those throughout the week. I eat way less fries when I do this.

Share your goal!

Tell your friends and family what you want to do.  You’re less likely to back out when the people around you are cheering you on and expecting something of you.  Friends and family can help you through your journey along with your online accountability group so that you don’t lose your motivation.

Hope these tips help y’all to get fit and stay in shape!

XOXO
