What I’ve Been Reading

Last week I decided to pick up some books from my local library, I came across the memoir The Voluntourist.  I’ve always been interested in going on some type of volunteer trip and I’m really happy I happened to find this memoir.  Ken Budd, the author, tells about his experience volunteering in six different locations.  The quote “I want to live a life that matters.” appears frequently and it definitely made me think about what I want to do to make sure I help other people in some way.  I can’t wait until I get to go on a trip of my own someday!  If you’re looking to learn more about different volunteer trips or just want to read something inspirational, this is definitely a good choice.  You can check out Ken Budd’s Website to buy the book and see pictures from his trips!
