How I Journal

Hey Friends!  Today I’m going to share a little bit about my journaling history.  I always wrote in my journal but pretty infrequent.  Over this past summer, I decided that I would keep up with it and make myself write in it everyday for a month.  It wasn’t as hard as I thought but also not the easiest thing to do.  I tend to write at night right before I go to bed.  At first, it was pretty easy but as time went on I found it harder to find things to write about.  Pinterest came to my rescue.  I searched journaling prompts and found so many different prompts and questions to respond to.  I’ve found that journaling allows me to write out all my thoughts from the day and I sleep better just knowing that everything I’m feeling and thinking is out on the paper.

For this year, I wanted to try something a little different in addition to my regular journaling.  I bought the book 52 Lists to Happiness.  Each week, there is a different list that you create, each prompt revolving around the main theme of finding happiness in your own life.  I am super excited to try this out this year.   I really like the idea of this journal because you can start this list at the beginning of the week and add onto it as the week goes on.  If you’re new to journaling or writing at all, I think this would be a good idea to start since it slowly eases you into the idea of writing on a regular basis.

Let me know if any of you have used this book or the similar book 52 Lists Project.

Xoxo,

Liz
