Money Saving Apps for iOS

Hi everyone! Today, I wanted to share a little bit about all the apps that I have on my phone that help me save the most.  As a college student, I am so serious when it comes to saving money.  I work and go to school and I am trying to avoid having a massive amount of debt after I graduate.  Here are some of the apps that I’ve downloaded on my phone and have been using recently to accumulate cash back/ gift cards and organize my finances altogether.  Let me know if there’s anything else that you use that’s super helpful!

I’ve seriously been using this app for so long now so I mean it when I say that it’s an easy way to accumulate points and then gift cards over a period of time.  I’ve talked about this in a blog post before so I’m not going to go into too much detail here.  You can check that post out here.  This is one of the top apps on my list.

This is a new app that I have just recently downloaded.  You get $10 when you first sign up and use my link! Sign up here!   With this app, you can link your credit card or take pictures of your receipts and upload them.  I’ve found that this is great for grocery shopping because most of the items that they are offering cash back on, are items that you’re probably going to be buying anyway.

This is actually a new app that I have never heard of until my friends introduced me to it last night! This app is made for college students so that you can find out what brands will give you a certain percentage off for being a student.  All you have to do is sign up and verify you’re a college student with your college email, and they will give you discount codes for checkout!

This app helps you keep track of where your money is going.  It will show what you’re spending your money on all in one place! This makes it easier to realize what you should be spending less on.  As a college student who works multiple jobs, it’s easier to have everything in one place to make sure that I’m not overspending.

Hope you all enjoyed today’s blog post!

How I balance College and Working and then little bit of blogging too!

Hey friends! Today I wanted to share with you how I balance my life, as a busy bee!  I’ve always been the kind of girl who wants to keep busy always making plans and doing new things.  At some points in the past, it’s really caught up with me so now I know how to balance it so I do not feel physically or mentally drained all the time.  Now I’m going to share with you how I balance it all!

For me, I have to make sure that I get all my sleep.  If I don’t then I just end up feeling horrible for days to come.  Make sure you do not over schedule yourself so that you are able to get enough sleep each night and then you’re able to focus better on your school work and everything else you have to be awake for!

Healthy Diet

I typically tend to go to Wegmans or CVS and buy allll the candy in sight when I’m feeling stressed about all the work I have to do.  I’ve recently learned to not do that because it only leaves me feeling tired and ready for bed instead of ready to take on all the work that I have to do.

Yoga has helped me to recharge when I get home from class at night.  Coming home from a night class in the dark always makes me feel like I just want to crawl right into bed rather than staying on track with the work that I have to do.  I like to fit in about 20-30 minutes of Yoga when I get home so then I’m able to get started on school work and not feeling completely drained when I save all my work for the next day.

Don’t compare yourself to others

It’s so easy to look at Instagram or Snapchat and see how all of your friends are out having fun on a weekday or weekend while you’re working on homework, or at work or working on blog posts.  I always get stuck in the thought of Am I missing out on something?  The answer to that is no I am not.  I may have to miss out on a couple of fun nights with friends but I definitely appreciate the opportunities that come through work, school and blogging and I am happier in the long run!

Schedule Time for Yourself

Although it’s good to stay busy and on track of all the important things, it’s even better to schedule time for yourself to relax.  Reading a book, taking a bath, or watching my favorite show on Netflix are some of my favorite ways to relax.  By the time I’m done with one of these, I’m almost always full of energy!

Use your Agenda!!!!!!!

My agenda literally gets me through the week.  I have a Lilly Pulitzer one and I just went out and bought another one from TJ Maxx to use just for blogging.  I’m able to see everything I have going on in school, and work, and make notes of bills due.  It seriously makes everything easier for me!!!

How do you balance work and school? Share your ways with me in the comments!

Agendas? What are those?

I bought the Lilly Pulitzer Agenda for this upcoming school year! (My first year of college) My first time buying one was last year and I loved it.  I became obsessed with writing everything down and organizing my life.  This year I considered buying a different brand but decided to stick with the Large Lilly Agenda in Tusk in Sun because I love elephants and I love all the pops of color in the Lilly agendas.  I think the large agenda is the perfect size because there is enough room to write everything down on a busy school day but its not too big that I don’t like carrying it around.

I ordered a pink monogram sticker for the front of my agenda from the Etsy Shop PreppyandProud.  For any type of monogram stickers, I highly recommend them!  The stickers are so easy to apply and it didn’t take a long time to get to me like most monogram items do.  I ordered the 2 inch sticker for my agenda.

This year, one of the new things added to the agendas was a traveling section.  It’s going to be extremely helpful because now I don’t have to make so many notes on Post-It’s and on the To-Do list section of my agenda.  There’s room for four trips so I’ll be covered for any big vacations I might be going on.

This year I decided to start color-coding my agenda with different color pens.  I like to organize each class/part of my life with a different color.  I’m taking four classes this semester so each one has a different color.  I separated other outside of school events into different colors so I will remember to write them down.

Since it’s still summer, I don’t have much going on besides work and hanging out with friends.  For this week, I wrote down some examples of how I organize my life during the school year.  For each class, I write down my assignments in that color pen and I write a little note to myself on the day a big assignment or test is!

How do you organize your agenda? Let me know!
