Fun Little Things
Hey everyone! For me, it’s nearly impossible to walk around Target or Home Goods without picking something up and contemplating whether or not to buy it even though I just came in to “look”. (I hope I’m not the only one with this problem!) Lately, I seem to find myself coming home with all the little things that I find right before the checkout! It’s still pretty warm outside so not quite sweater weather yet! (Even though it is Fall!) On Thursdays, I don’t have any classes so this was my outfit for running errands and going to a poetry reading for my English Class. I’ve never been to one so I had no idea what to wear but it turned out to be a pretty casual event when I got there! I’m Back!
After a long break, that I probably shouldn’t have taken, I’m back. I’ve been really focused on trying to get organized for school and I think I’ve got a pretty good schedule going for everyday! (Although my sleep schedule is never consistent!) I have a lot of good blog posts for the next few months so stay posted! I am very excited for everything fall; pumpkin spice, hay rides, haunted houses, and everything else! (Hint, this could be what some of my good blog posts will be about!) It’s safe to say I’m OBSESSED with the app Shopkick! With this app, there are stores listed that you can earn ‘kicks’ at! You earn kicks by walking into stores, making purchases, and scanning items. It’s so much fun to do and you can earn more by inviting your friends. What can you do with these ‘kicks’? When you create your shopkick account, you can choose a gift card as your goal. What I’ve Been Reading
Last week I decided to pick up some books from my local library, I came across the memoir The Voluntourist. I’ve always been interested in going on some type of volunteer trip and I’m really happy I happened to find this memoir. Ken Budd, the author, tells about his experience volunteering in six different locations. The quote “I want to live a life that matters.” appears frequently and it definitely made me think about what I want to do to make sure I help other people in some way. What I’m Loving This Week
One Tree Hill I’m finally on season 8 out of 9 seasons and I can’t believe I’m almost done. From high school to college, all their experiences are very relatable. If you love the Gossip Girl/90210 type shows, I would definitely hop on the OTH train. A major plus to this is all 9 seasons are on Netflix! To Those Still In High School
I can’t seem to wrap my mind around the idea that I’m a high school graduate. It seems like just yesterday I was afraid to start high school and now here I am afraid to start college. I had an awesome four years with all of my friends and I hope everyone has such great experiences as I did. With that being said I have some advice for everyone still in High School. 1) Be Friendly To Everyone. People will change from freshmen to senior year! Interests change and friend groups change.
